About the doctor

A doctor you can actually meet.

Trained at Nair and KEM — two of the most respected medical institutions in the country — Dr. Rohan Antani has spent more than three decades doing one thing carefully — reading blood, urine and tissue so that your family doctor can treat you right.

At most big labs, the pathologist is a signature at the bottom of a page. At Omkar, he is right here at the centre. If a result looks unusual, he looks again. If you are worried about a number, you can walk in and ask him what it means — in English, Hindi or Marathi.

Many of the families he sees today first came to Omkar years ago — grandparents, then their children, and now their grandchildren. That long relationship is what he values most: knowing a patient's history, noticing when something changes, and explaining it with patience.

“A report is not just numbers. Behind every sample is a neighbour, a parent, a grandparent — and they deserve a doctor who cares.”
— The Omkar promise

What does a pathologist do?

A pathologist is a medical doctor who specialises in studying blood, urine and tissue samples to find out what is happening inside the body.

Your family doctor asks for a test. The pathologist makes sure that test is done correctly, reads the result with a doctor's eye, and gives your doctor an accurate report to make the right decision.
